Dean Deborah Cai will be the new Acting Dean of Klein College of Media and Communication. Klein’s current Dean, David Boardman, will be stepping away from the role while he fills the role of Interim Provost for the university.
Temple University Provost Gregory Mandel announced in an email that he is stepping down from his position. The email said that he will return to the Beasley School of Law as a professor. Klein College’s Dean David Boardman will serve as the interim provost for the fall.

A car fire has been put out on Broad and Norris streets after a man allegedly tried to carjack with an illegal weapon according to an anonymous police officer. He is currently being transported to the hospital. Stay with Temple Update as this is a developing story.
A large fire from Camden, New Jersey was seen from campus this afternoon. According to NBC10, it was a scrap metal junkyard which sent large clouds of smoke into the air.
Residents in Abington have been asked to evacuate their homes after an explosion and fire at SPS Technologies. According to the NBC10, around 60 workers were on the site at the time the fire broke out. They are all accounted for and no injuries have been reported.
Crews are battling flames at the United Baptist Church on the 2500 block of Thompson Street. As of 9:00 Monday night, no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Eagles have finished their victory parade off with a ceremony at the Art Museum. Fans in attendance were able to hear speeches from the Eagle’s owner, Coach Nick Sirianni, and many Eagles players, including Super Bowl MVP and quarterback, Jalen Hurts.

School’s ut for the Eagles celebratory parade! Temple University President, John Fry, announced that all U.S. campuses will be closed this Friday because of the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl Victory Parade. Fry said that residence halls and dining halls will operate as normal.

Philadelphia will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with the Birds. The City confirmed the Eagle’s Victory Parade will be held on Friday. No official times have been set for the parade but following the 2018 schedule, the parade started at around 11 AM in South Philadelphia.
Eagles fly in Super Bowl 59!
After taking in the Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles took home a victory for the first time since 2018 After taking on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII, defeating the Chiefs 40 to 22.
A Temple graduate is in the hospital after allegedly being stabbed by a Temple student, early Sunday morning. The suspect is detained, according to Vice President for Public Safety Jennifer Griffin. Both people are apart of a Greek organization not recognized by the University.
Police have identified Thursday night’s off-campus shooting suspect as 23-year-old Nicholas Laderosa, according to PHL 17. They say Laderosa has been arrested and will be charged with murder.
