今回のMONOのLiveが過去最高となった理由は、僕の長年の夢が叶ったからだ。
アンコール1曲目の「Moonlight」は2006年にリリースされた「You Are There」のラストを飾る曲。
僕が初めてMONOを知ることになった曲で、信じられないほど哀しくも美しい旋律と轟音に落雷に撃たれたように感動した。

それから何度となくMONOのLiveに足を運ぶものの、遂に演奏される事はなく、過去の名曲として記憶から忘れつつあった。
それがまさか今日、20年越しにLiveで聴ける事になろうとは･･･

ステージで演奏されたMoonlightは恐らく僕が生涯聴いたギターの中で、最も美しい旋律の一つだ。余りにも美しくて、優しくて、哀しい。
