Did you know? Clinical trials extend well beyond treatment trials. There are many other opportunities for individuals to participate in clinical trials along the cancer care spectrum. Opportunities include prevention clinical trials, supportive care clinical trials, cancer screening trials, treatment trials, and cancer care delivery trials.
10KFS support the Minnesota Cancer Alliance in their efforts to raise awareness about the broad availability of enrollment sites across the state and the positive benefits to patients who enroll in the studies. @MNCancer #ClinicalTrialsMN @UMNCancer

Big congratulations to Bharat Thyagarajan on being named the new Head of the University of Minnesota’s Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology!
Dr. Thyagarajan is also a valued co-investigator with 10,000 Families Study, where he helps lead the collection and management of biological samples during family health visits—work that helps us better understand how genetics, environment, and lifestyle shape health across generations.
We’re excited to see his leadership continue to make an impact across the University of Minnesota and beyond.

During World Immunization Week, 10K Families Study highlights the power of vaccines to keep individuals, families, and communities healthy. Immunizations don’t just protect you—they help safeguard those around you, especially the most vulnerable.
By participating in research, our community helps us better understand how health, environment, and prevention—like vaccination—work together to shape lifelong well-being.
Stay informed. Stay protected. 💙
