Jonathan Tetelman shone in Berlin in the gruelling role of Samson in a production at Staatsoper Berlin stamped with the hallmark of Argentine film director Damián Szifron who sure loves blood and guts. After scenes of torture and Philistine orgies, the final moment was pure cinema, with Samson on a high platform lit by a white spotlight prising apart the walls of the temple of Dagon. Tetelman's vocal prowess combined with his dramatic skills to present a nuanced Samson who repented for his weakness over Dalila and was able to save his people. If the standing ovation at the end of this evening's last performance of "Samson et Dalila" is anything to go by, Tetelman will soon be back st the Staatsoper. Bravissimo!

The evening when an encore turned into a joyful celebration of friendship and @TenorTetelman with @ArturoChaconC won all hearts at Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. An acclaimed opera concert behind him, Jonathan is a few notes into the encore "O sole mio" when Arturo picks up the tune from the auditorium. A joint tango follows much to the delight of the surprised public. Arturo will be playing "Werther" at Teatro Colon from 26th August. Bravi tutti for the fun in music!
