TensoAI is looking for Remote Full-time Data Scientists to join their team!
Project 1
Optimization of Genetic Simulation with the use of Federated Learning
Project 2
Federated Learning infrastructure focusing on small to medium-size farms
Given the availability of leafy greens in markets these days, I think next Christmas we're going to have to take advantage of your sale (if you have it again), could definitely learn to settle for Swiss Chard!
@agTech_AI Spinach is a bit tricky but the #Nutritower is amazing for Kale, Swiss chard, peppers, peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, lots of other leafy greens and all the herbs 🌿
To say Aliment du Québec products have 85% of ingredients from here. Product of Canada means grown or raised by Canadian Farmers or packaged and processed here. Celebrate local food, farm to table! Tomorrow, celebrate Canadian Agriculture. https://t.co/i7AzXfUyEx
We've all heard about bees dying off, but this is apocalypse for all insects. What does this mean for #agriculture and how can #agtech help scientists studying this phenomenon, out in the fields with nets? https://t.co/faGx8ntor1
The Netherlands are also major investors in agtech. It's numbers like the ones on their use of water that show what we can do with technology applied in the right places. They're also cutting pesticide use in greenhouses and antibiotic use for animals.
The Netherlands is a leader when it comes to food production due to innovations in agricultural techniques which improve efficiency. Growing a kg of tomatoes in the Netherlands uses 9.1 liters of water. The global average is over 210 liters of water per kg https://t.co/H9Rb6wlK9k
We knew that today is #WomenInScience day, but we only just found out that tomorrow is #CDNagDay... anyone know an awesome female #agronomist, or engineer or data scientist? Let's combine the two!
Working in #software development at the intersection of #UX and #ai we have to show some love for #womenInScience and this mother of algorithms. It's not just tech that has an issue though. If she can see it, she can be it. Proud that this agtech endeavour has women on board!
Let me introduce you the first computer programmer in the world, Ada Lovlace. The first one that established the first algorithm for the machine.
Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science!
RT this and share your role and main research in science!

Terrifying to think that beyond #drought and #flooding, extreme weather reduces #foodsecurity & makes crops vulnerable to contamination. To boost our own supply we wanted to use a @nutritower but heard it's hard to do #Hydroponic spinach. Lettuce isn't our fav even without e.coli
@rutgergroot Maybe this is naive, but do you see smallholder farms being able to compete with big agricilture? Either in finding skilled workers or in price and placement in major markets?
#agtech can help people with no experience grow. By telling you when to water, automating schedules in your absence, to teach you about pH. #agronomist knowledge and #ai can predict #yieldHarvest but we can't forget that #agriculture is food. Agribusiness is about feeding people.
Growing your own food saves household expenditures on food; poor people in poor countries generally spend a substantial part of their income (50% – 70%) on food.
Growing the relatively expensive vegetables therefore saves money as well as on bartering of produce.

@TamaraMcCleary And were do you draw the line in AI and machine learning. Does running your articles through something like Hemingway for readability or to optimize the title even register or the AI scale or is it just data recognition and processing?
Twitter talk with @forefrontagTX on Friday really hammered this home. With #agtech there has to be collaboration with farmers. The distance from Silicon Valley to Decatur might as well be lightyears... @AgProfessional

For people who went to school in #agriculture, I'm wondering what you think of the role that #agribusiness plays in research and curriculum. Is there this much fear in the #farm industry? Any thoughts?
Across the country, agribusiness has become a powerful special interest in the world of academic research. Read our investigation, published in partnership with the @GuardianUS: https://t.co/fip5Fjna9g
AI is part of our lives, voice recognition when we call the bank, targeted advertising based on browser history, prediction of likelihood to commit crimes. But what's the difference between #ai, #MachineLearning and #deepLearning? https://t.co/BpDgz8IQxI
@UrbanSeedling hasn't posted in a while, and we're guessing it's because the greenhouse they're located in didn't seem to be the best insulated when we visited in August... they are supposed to be at the #seedFestival tomorrow at the #montreal botanical gardens. See you there!
