Throughout the night, we discussed and planned with the community how to create a sustainable economy for the game. This is the reason why we made major changes to Gold.
Gold Nodes are now breakable, creating a deflationary system. Island owners will receive 75 Gold for every Gold Node that is completely destroyed, creating a new resource cycle and helping balance the economy long term.
Unfortunately, we also had to roll back the Realm update. While it introduced new features, it created more issues than it solved. Scalability remains one of our highest priorities, especially as we support 400โ500+ concurrent players.
As a result, all player progress has been rolled back to yesterday's state. This was not a decision we made lightly. Database backpressure caused items to duplicate, disappear, and behave unpredictably, which threatened the integrity of the game economy. We learned an important lesson from this that we cannot rush implementations simply because there is a demand for them.
Additional gameplay adjustments:
โข Monk has been nerfed, especially in boss fights.
โข Boss encounters are intended to be team based content and should not be easily farmed solo.
โข Team up with other players and fight together for Shards.
After discussing it with the community, we also decided not to enable $Islands as a Marketplace payment method at this time. While it seemed like a good idea initially, we do not believe it would currently benefit the chart or the long term health of the ecosystem.
The Marketplace will remain USDC only until we find a sustainable solution that allows the game economy itself to organically support the growth of $Islands.
With that said, the gates are open once again.
See you on the Islands. ๐๏ธ
Update is in
You filled the town, so we made it bigger. Thanks to the latest stability update, the cap is up from 80 to 120 players at once.
More of you in one shared world And channels are still coming to lift it even further.

The number of players has increased significantly, new servers are coming, and it's still very cheap.

Channels are almost wired up
Our dev is pulling an all-nighter to debug and test, so the goal is for everyone to play before tomorrow's reset.
The 80 cap comes off, the town opens up, and it stays one shared world.
Almost there. Thank you for hanging in

Quick heads up on capacity, and what's coming ๐ฟ
For now we've temporarily capped the town at 80 players at once. When it got busier than that, players on phones were crashing, and a town that runs smoothly for everyone comes first. So if you see it full, that's why, and it's only for a few days.
The fix is channels, and it's almost here. When the town fills up, a fresh channel of the same Cozyville opens, so you hop straight in with no queue and no waiting line.
And here's the important part: it stays ONE shared world. Your account, character, inventory, skills and gold, the market, $COZY and the gold exchange, your friends and your DMs all carry across every channel. The only thing that's per-channel is who you physically see walking around right now. Same map, same town, just a different room.
Honest note: at first, you and a friend might land in different channels and not share a screen. Letting you hop straight into a friend's channel is the very next thing we're building.
Thanks for bearing with the growing pains while the town grows. More room for everyone, very soon ๐พ
