Dont judge, doesn't look the best but my god it tasted better than any UK takeaway shop π€€π

Harvest in the Rif this week.
Friends sent the farm this evening. Plants finishing on the mountain the way it has for thousands of years. These hills are all hash hybrids but not all cannabis varieties produce in Morocco π²π¦
Letβs dig into the science on Rif resin morphology, dry-sift behavior, and the terpene chemistry that separates sandy heads from oily ones.
Traditional Ketama / Beldia work is dry-sift on sun-dried, low-humidity material, beaten over cloth in the ~150β200 Β΅m range, then refined. The plant that wins is not the one with the greasiest live resin. It is the one whose glands:
β’ stay brittle after a Rif dry-down
β’ abscise at the headβstalk junction instead of smearing
β’ pass as discrete sand rather than a film
β’ still press into a slab because enough binder remains after the lightest volatiles flash off.
Clarke measured this decades ago: even clean Moroccan powder is dry and sugar-like, not smear-sticky like Afghan or fresh high-myrcene indoor resin. The climate strips the lightest binding terpenoids. What is left has to be mechanically separable first.
Moroccan field data on six Rif cultivars (Beldiya vs Mexicana, Khardala, Avocat, Critical Plus, Industriel) is blunt: Critical Plus can put six times more resin on the scale than Beldiya, and hybrids win density. Beldiya wins for drought resistance, and stability across years.
Hybrids need irrigation the mountain does not reliably give. That is the trade you are breeding against.
What hash varieties you think will do well in Morocco? π²π¦

Started training the photos today.
Fan leafs on the ice cream cake are getting huge. Its been fimmd, bent down and super cropped 2 lower branches.
Same with the cheese aswell.
Dantes inferno #8 has emerged, cant wait to get that in a big fabric pot. So far going good. π«‘
@sofimood809 Ive got her on 18-6... I've figured out the issue (I think anyway π) I uts due to my pot size I rushed getting it planted as was to eager I thought I could transplant it but forgot and just got to late mid was focused on other things π lesson learnt though
