How. Does. She. Do. That. Act III alone worth coming for. Just when you think you have the measure of @DancingAlina she digs even deeper and cuts your heart out all over again. Possibly my last London ballet for a while, and I could not leave with a more perfect memory #ENBManon

On the plus side, Alina remains singularly spectacular, melting, tragic - & I think her Odile has grown to match her Odette. Corps were just fabulous, especially in Act IV, and Cirio also gave a compelling & technically impressive performance I’d happily watch again. #ENBSwanLake

I could never not adore watching Alina on stage - but the yo-yo tempi of last night’s #ENBSwanLake really threw things off for me. Regularly ground down almost to a halt. I don’t know if it’s at the will or dancer or conductor, but it felt a real shame for such glorious music.

@RoyalOperaHouse @DanceTabs @TheRoyalBallet I do understand the desire to save paper - but I've been to the new ROH several times already and have never seen these screens... Where should I be looking? Are there any in the Floral Hall or Amphi bar?

For me Winter Dreams is nigh-on perfect as a ballet, and in its drama it was done justice by the cast last night (though it must be said, not as consistently in its dance content). Still, beautiful to watch Nunez, Naghdi and Avis most particularly.

Wish all triples were as beautifully balanced as #ROHPatineursmixed. A treat from start to finish - a charming wintry delight in Les Pats, a moving (& wonderfully acted) masterpiece in Winter Dreams, and an utterly charming Concert to finish. Loved it.

Undoubtedly prefer the casting this way round in #ROHbayadere. Osipova heartbreaking, Muntagirov perfection and Nuñez cold and cutting. Fireworks all over the stage. What an embarrassment of riches @TheRoyalBallet and how lucky are we to enjoy them.

Damn... ROH confirms Watson out for #ROHMayerling, to be replaced by Hirano. Gutted not to see the electric Osi/Watson pairing in this again. But excitement nonetheless: Hirano's in turn replaced by Matthew Ball. Big opportunity!

Nunez & Muntagorov’s M&A has much more of a ‘silent movie’ feel than other casts I’ve seen - interesting and beautiful in its own way, but didn’t quite tug at my heartstrings. I’d watch either of them do arabesques all day long though. #rohobsidiantriple

In fairness to them too, my emotional attention was mostly being drawn by the three unappreciative and utterly rude ****s beside me who clearly found the whole thing hilarious and sniggered all the way through 😡
