She strutted in like the female tunnel rat loud, hollow and desperate for an audience.
Her puppet trailed behind her, stitched together from borrowed confidence and second hand opinions.
Together they performed their little circus, hoping someone anyone would mistake noise for power.
But the only ones watching were the sheep the ones who crave a shepherd because thinking for themselves feels like hard labour.
And so the puppeteer pulls, the puppet jerks and the flock applauds never noticing the hand up the spine or the strings around their own necks. Said but true !!!!!!
