First, we should talk about cotyledons. Cotyledons are the first leaves to appear after the seed has germinated.
The next leaves that grow will be the plantsโ first set of โtrue leavesโ. They resemble the shape of what the mature plantsโ leaves will look like.
When reading through our growing guides you may come across phrases like โup-pot when the first set of true leaves appearsโ, โthin seedlings when there are 1โ2 sets of true leavesโ or something to that effect.
