BREAKING: Blue states TRIUMPH over Trump as a federal judge deals him a crushing defeat and blocks his jaw-dropping $100,000 fee for H-1B visa applications.

The courts have become MAGA's greatest enemy...

“Here, the substance and application of the $100,000 payment reveal that it is a tax, regardless of what the payment is called,” wrote U.S. District Judge Leo Sorokin, siding with a coalition of blue states in their argument that Trump exceeded his authority.

Since the $100,000 fee is essentially a tax, it violates the Constitution by usurping powers that are reserved for Congress. Once again, we see Trump attempting to shred our founding document, only to be backed into humiliating defeat. As it turns out, the Constitution is far more resilient than these Republican fascists had guessed.

The visas in question allow companies to hire foreign workers for specific jobs and are widely used in the tech sector. Regardless of one's thoughts about the program, Trump can't be allowed to unilaterally exert control over it like he was attempting to do. The $100,000 would have been paid in most instances by the sponsoring employers — giving the administration yet another financial cudgel to extract concessions from companies.

It may sound reductive, but incident after incident after incident has borne it out to be true: If Trump wants something done, it's safe to assume that it's bad for America. Every time he loses in court, it's a victory for our democracy.

The suit was brought by 20 Democratically-led states and spearheaded by California Attorney General Rob Bonta and Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell.
