I proposed that a Special Ad-hoc Committee of the House of Representatives be set-up to investigate the killings in Benue State and recommend a holistic solution to end the 15 year ongoing insecurity in the state.

This proposal came as an ammendement to a motion of urgent public importance on the Yelwata massacre, moved by Hon. Dickson Tarkighir at plenary.

I am confident that this Ad-hoc Committee will complement the efforts of the Federal Government and interface with all relevant stakeholders, including the security agencies, the Government of Benue State and the Benue Peace Committee proposed by the C-in-C of the Armed Forces Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to find lasting peace for the people of Benue State.

This week marks 2 years in office as the member representing Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives.

We have produced a documentary and brochure of our achievements so far, highlighting a few of our signature strategic projects, some of which have been completed and commissioned, some ongoing and some budgeted for the 2025 and 2026 dudget circles.

At the end of my 4 years tenure, it is my firm believe that we would have elevated our constituency to a level never experienced before.

The Signature Strategic Projects include:

1. Technology Incubation Center, Adikpo
2. Forestry Research Center, Ushongo
3. National Open University of Nigeria, Kwande Study Center, Adagi
4. Construction of 30-Span River Amile, Gaaba Bridge, Menev
5. 30-man Immigration Outpost, Usar, Kwande
6. 50-man Immigration Forward Operational Base, Abande, Kwande
7. Police Border Patrol Station, Jako-Ako
8. Traditional Council Hall, Lessel, Ushongo
9. Ten (10) motorized Boreholes Installed (6 Ushongo, 4 Kwande)
10. Nine (9) Agricultural and Empowerment Programmes (5000 Beneficiaries)
11. Over N12million in students Support
12. Over N20million in medical support
13. Greenhouse farm project in Kwande and Ushongo
14. Twenty-One (21) Council Wards touched, more to come.

🇳🇬 A big win for wildlife in Nigeria! 🐆🦁🐘

🎉 Nigeria’s Endangered Species Conservation and Protection Bill has just passed its third and final reading in the House of Representatives. This milestone legislation will strengthen Nigeria’s response to wildlife trafficking, empower judges to fast-track wildlife crime cases, and introduce tougher penalties for offenders.

Hon. @TerseerUgbor, the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Environment, highlights how the bill will help fight the illegal wildlife trade and protect Nigeria's iconic wildlife populations. “This bill sends a clear message that Nigeria will not tolerate the use of its borders for the trafficking of illegal wildlife products like pangolin scales and elephant tusks. By modernising our laws, we want to ensure future generations will continue to benefit from the ecological and economic value of our biodiversity.” 🌿

Next, the Bill will be presented to the Senate for approval before being delivered to the President for final sign-off.📝
