BREAKING 🚨
📍 Adwa, Tigray
The Ethiopian government has carried out a drone strike on Shewit Hotel in Adwa.
The building sustained heavy damage with multiple floors hit and windows shattered.
Eritrea is seriously considering closing its airspace to commercial flights from Ethiopia. Ethiopian Airlines currently has access to the airspace of Somalia and Djibouti. This move would significantly impact Ethiopian Airlines (EAL) by increasing operating costs. An even more critical situation would arise if Sudan and Egypt were to take similar action; in that scenario, EAL would be forced to route flights through Somali and Djiboutian airspace, substantially extending flight times to Europe and the United States
TPLF launched a fierce evening attack on military forces stationed in Korem, near Alamata, with fighting continuing until dusk. Meanwhile, TPLF forces strongly resisted troops approaching from direction of Afar, halting their movement. Information obtained from sources in Alamata
Tigrayan Forces Launch Coordinated Counteroffensive Against ENDF and Allied Units
ETHIOPIA ― 🔥Following a tactical withdrawal from multiple positions deep inside Tigray, Tigrayan forces reportedly stretched the Ethiopian Defence Force (ENDF) and government-aligned Afar militia and Tigray Peace Forces across an increasingly dispersed front, potentially exposing advancing units to coordinated attacks.
Tigrayan forces subsequently launched a counteroffensive, engaging advancing federal and allied troops after they reportedly lured to a suspected kill zone. The targeted positions were believed to offer the enemy a strategic staging ground for a potential offensive toward Mekelle, the regional capital.
The reported engagement inflicted heavy casualties on the advancing forces, compelling them to retreat and disrupting their apparent objective of consolidating control over Mekelle.
Meanwhile, Tigrayan forces, alongside Amhara Fano and Afar Uggugumo fighters, are reportedly continuing coordinated counteroffensive operations aimed at capturing additional territory.
The developments were referenced in battlefield statements attributed to the Tigrayan military spokesperson.

According to informed sources, a major attack began at Debre Zeyit a few minutes ago and is currently ongoing.
It is also reported that a fire has been spotted inside the Debre Zeyit Air Force facility while the attack is underway.
This indicates that the base's defenses have been breached; notably, reports also suggest that the 4 Kilo Palace in Addis Ababa was targeted by an airstrike tonight
In his interview, General Tsadkan lied that the #MahbereDegoMassacre was committed by Eritrea 🇪🇷. Here is a group of young and elderly being led to be massacred by the Ethiopians🇪🇹. They laughed and mocked at them as they massacred and threw them off. #TigrayGenocide
News: #Alamata fighting leaves trail of civilian casualties; #Adigrat Eparch appeals for help
Addis Abeba, – More than 50 civilians have reportedly been killed in and around Alamata, southern #Tigray, during several days of intense fighting in late September, as renewed hostilities in northern #Ethiopia leave residents displaced, medical facilities overwhelmed and humanitarian access increasingly difficult.
A resident who fled Alamata to #North_Wollo Zone in the neighboring Amhara Region told Addis Standard that the fighting erupted as residents were preparing for the Saturday market. “We were hoping for a market day on Saturday when suddenly the town was rocked by heavy artillery. Suddenly, the town looked like a full-blown war zone,” the resident said.
However, tensions also intensified in the areas between the Tigray Peace Force and members of the Raya Zeb, a newly organized paramilitary force established by the Amhara Regional State. The friction reportedly escalated after federal forces mobilized further toward #Mehoni….

A good friend and former colleague texted me this morning from Las Vegas:
“Alex, they killed my dad. I am really sad. He was killed yesterday while he was sitting at home.”
The indiscriminate shelling that killed civilians in Alamata came just days after a drone strike on the town reportedly killed at least 14 people and injured 22 others.
Alamata has now suffered repeated attacks with heavy civilian casualties.
