@mirandarwolpert @matthewrbroome @wellcometrust Please remember that eating disorder research has been chronically underfunded, resulting in limited understanding of aetiology and an urgent need for more effective treatments.
@JoyMelissaYo @CheriLev @nytimes I super appreciate this point! I often ask, how can we move away from the hierarchies in ED diagnoses? Rarely does someone stay in one box, often there’s a floating around or moving back & forth as one moves thru the recovery journey. An eating disorder is an eating disorder.
🙏 @Mark_Butler_MP for mention in question time of huge inequity in research funding for eating disorders & your intention to fix. In our Lancet paper out this week all mental health research fairs poorly @emmajbryant_ @ian_hickie@PetaMarks https://t.co/z6pqZUi0G0
Thrilled that our new mHealth app for eating disorders is getting some press! Hoping to expand our reach to other universities in the future! #bestu#eatingdisorders https://t.co/pLVDAiMFyg @KUnews @KChristensenPhD
@doctor_chuks I love my eating disorder dietitians!! Best friends and best colleagues. Could not make effective change without them. We go together like peanut butter and jelly. Without a good team, the whole recovery sandwich would fall apart.
