I bought mobile insurance for a ₹13,000 phone and raised a claim for a broken display. My claim was rejected on the grounds that the repair cost exceeds 50% of the phone's value, and I was offered a refund of only ₹6,165 instead. (1/3)

I also paid ₹400 + GST for the insurance and ₹1,000 as a processing fee. After deductions, I'd effectively get only around ₹4,500 for a phone that's less than 6 months old. If repair is possible for ₹4,000, why not reimburse the repair cost instead? Need a clear explanation.
