Everyone has a Heart, some bigger than others. But your Brain, can enable you to follow your Heart or simply become Lost & Confused. Exercise your Brain.
@ViviTechInvest@realMaalouf Oh, yeah, those Extremist Mennonites and Extremist Baptists, not to mention those Extremist Catholics and probably the worst are the Extremist Buddhists.
What a load of Manure.
States should be in charge of immigration, or at least have a big say in who comes in and whether there's a place for them in their state provided the applicant has a qualified personal sponsor.
Only the Feds can control interstate matters, like ICE, even if states control who is admitted.
The problem is the Supreme Court took states' Constitutional power away 100+ years ago. And DC doesn't share power ... at all.
@Alinavisooo Only competent law-abiding adult citizens living in a jurisdiction have a legitimate interest in who represents the jurisdiction.
No one else.
@1776Diva If the flag celebrates a state in the United States, yes.
If it reminds us of the sacrifice of patriotic Americans to a state of the US or to the United States itself, yes.
If it's about anything anti-US or celebrating another nation, then, NO.
If it's a protest, keep it at home.
Leximellification -
what does that mean?
lexi = word
mell = honey
mellification = sweeten like honey
We've seen it year after year: taking concepts that offend most people and sweetening the way we think of them.
Most are fairly innocent. Life is hard - sweeten it.
Maybe you like "passed on" and "pushing up daisies" because we eventually will all be there and shouldn't dwell on it, except in pleasant terms.
But, terms like "minor-attracted person" should never be sweetened or softened in any way - protecting our children from predators is critical.
However, don't also be fooled by "investing" when politicians want to spend money on something - usually you're "investing" in someone's pleasure or leisure. Don't. "Invest" in yourself.
Investing means you putting money, which is accumulated effort, into something so that you, not someone else, will get more back than you put in. Let's not confuse charity and waste with investing.
You'll spot other mellifications, if you listen to the talking heads and pundits. See through them. 😉
Like many people, I'm pretty desensitized to violence. It's everywhere in movies, TV shows, and the news. However, this video affected me. My oldest daughter is a little younger than Iryna. Seeing how scared she was in the video, and how incomprehensibly stupid and apathetic everyone else was, is astonishing. Not a single person tried to help her. No one. What the hell is wrong with people? And for the left to claim this has nothing to do with race, while the killer walks away saying, "I got that white girl," shows how complicit the media is in creating this pathetic world of racist, apathetic shells of human beings.
It's one thing to call for ending a philosophy or religion, but none of these banner-wavers ever give us an effective plan to do so.
If they had, Marxism would be as dead as the "doctors" who bled patients to rid them of demonic spirits. Marxists have run Congress for most of the 21st century.
@ceedepuertorico
In the FAQ the following headings are not translated from Spanish into English. Are you planning to translate them for us?
• Is the eRE safe?
• Who needs to register with the eRE?
• Does every voter have to register with the eRE?
• What can I do through the eRE?
Are urban districts gerrymandered to dilute the vote of rural districts? Are huge geographic congressional districts drawn to keep a majority of urban votes and prevent rural voters from having true representation?
@MomOfPearl13@elonmusk Supposedly, Signal is end-end encryption, meaning no one can monitor at a central site.
But what if some chats are decrypted at the central site and re-encrypted to the recipient(s)?
What if the central site can add names to a group chat or make end-end a group chat?
Who knows
Corruption
Getting a government official to commit or threaten to commit acts, whether technically legal or outright wrong, that do not comply with the intent of the law.
We can easily find state and federal officials who are corrupt.
Worse, judges who are corrupt seem to be exempt from prosecution because of "lifetime" appointments. There can be corrupt judicial practices simply by deliberately circumventing or ignoring the law.
