ENTIRE ISLAND OF CUBA GOES DARK AS NATIONAL POWER GRID COLLAPSES

Cuba has been hit by an island-wide blackout after the country’s national electric grid collapsed, leaving millions without power.

According to AP, Cuba’s state-run Electric Union reported the blackout and said the cause is still under investigation. The Ministry of Energy and Mines says protocols have been activated to begin restoring electricity.

This comes as Cuba continues to face a worsening energy crisis, with dwindling fuel reserves, an aging power grid, public transportation disruptions, canceled surgeries, and intentional power outages that can last more than 24 hours.

This is not just another power outage. This is an entire island going dark because a fragile system that has been under pressure for years finally failed again.
