Not really defending her inclusion, but Anno re-evaluating his worldview in the Rebuilds is the best part of them, and Mari is a big part of that for him I think.

@Srirachachau Imagine how inspiring and energizing it must have been for the artists working on his movies to see the director himself create such beautiful storyboards for them to build on. Then think about how depressing it'd be to get handed some AI slop the director spent 5 seconds on.

They always went after Marvel characters that’d fit in Darkstalkers whenever they had the chance. Blackheart, Shuma-Gorath, Marrow, Omega Red, all the weirdos
