@BradPauquette Um...how did i miss doing basic math. That 200 words a day and get a manuscript in a year? I never realized that! It's slower obviously, but even if it's just 200, that's progress.
God is the master storyteller.
He loves you. He wrote you in on purpose. He wants you in the story.
But He won't make you play. He gives you that choice.
God's story will proceed, with or without you.
In seasons past of my life, I've tried to do things my own way, to write my own story. And I've given my life to Jesus, and done things His way. There is no comparison.
I implore you, give your life to Jesus. Step into the story that God is telling. It's so much better. In every way.
Let's apply this to how God prunes us. It's clear that sometimes God cuts away things that won't necessarily kill us. Those things are obstructing us from reaching greater heights and fruitfulness. Is God pruning you?
I'm not a gardener, so when I learned about the basic idea of pruning, I was floored! We need pruning! Pruning isn't just cutting away bad stuff. It's also cutting away obstructions or odd growths so that more (or even bigger) fruit will appear.
The meaning of our name is actually pretty important. When someone calls out a name, the meaning isn't just null and void. It's out there within that very word, touching every ear that hears it. The question becomes, how will that meaning change you?
