🟣 What is a TFTF Inclusion Centre? 🟣

Our Inclusion Centre Management Provision is our highest-level support model, providing schools with a fully managed, integrated Inclusion Centre designed to support students with the greatest level of need.

The provision helps prevent permanent exclusions and reduce the need for external AP placements, while supporting high-quality learning outcomes, positive character development and meaningful re-engagement for students who may be struggling in mainstream school.

🎓 Our objective is simple: to ensure every student receives a successful educational experience that leads to stronger outcomes, all through a fully managed service that saves schools valuable time, resource and cost.

🟣Jacob is excited to be working with students at Northampton International Academy and Malcolm Arnold Academy 🟣

About Jacob: "I hold a degree in Psychology with Criminology, which sparked my interest in understanding behaviour, decision making, and the factors that influence young people’s lives.

Alongside my studies, I gained hands on experience working with young people in alternative provision schools for two years and subsequently working in a children’s home. These roles have given me valuable insight into the challenges some young people face and how best to engage, support, and communicate with them, particularly when behaviour is more complex.

As a mentor, I bring an empathetic and approachable approach to my work. I aim to be someone young people feel comfortable talking to, whether they need support, reassurance, or simply someone to listen. I build relationships through genuine interest and conversation, which allows me to relate to students from a wide range of backgrounds and with varying needs. I ensure I create a space where young people feel at ease while still ensuring key learning and expectations are met. I use the relationships I build to support behaviour management, but I am also able to be firm and consistent when needed to maintain clear boundaries.

A recent Tes article on the Schools White Paper highlighted the government’s ambition to improve attendance to over 94% by 2028–29, alongside a wider focus on inclusion, behaviour and better outcomes for young people.

At Think for the Future, we see every day that meaningful change does not come from attendance data alone. It comes from understanding the full picture around a young person and putting in place the right support to help them re-engage, regulate and succeed in school.

Through targeted mentoring, inclusion support and specialist provision, we work with schools to address the underlying barriers that can sit behind poor attendance, challenging behaviour and disengagement. When young people feel understood, supported and connected, better outcomes become far more possible.
