She discusses how the Teaching Feminism, Transforming Lives project has allowed bonds across disciplinary divides and organisational hierarchies - a "collaborative collective effort" and a manifestation of the feminist partnership that the book espouses.
PhD student Megan Harrington on her experiences in bringing feminism into spaces that are normally not seen as 'feminist', such as development studies. @ZubaanBooks @UoE_genderED @uoessps
next up - Dr Abdul Rahman, who discusses his chapter, a fascinating reflection on being a islam studies scholar who enters women's studies. His chapter really highlights the transversing of the line between 'insider/outsider' @ZubaanBooks@weareAUD
Prof Rukmini Sen talking about her reflections on teaching law from the lens of sociology and feminism, 'trouble' and 'discomfort' is necessarily constructed in the feminist classroom. @RStweet18@ZubaanBooks
"doing feminism is always more important than being a feminist" Prof Rukmini Sen, one of the editors in dialogue with Prof Fiona Mackay, who asked - what does it mean to do feminism in the academy? - at our virtual book launch

The experiences of women in the academy often go unnoticed, making it difficult for their concerns to be represented in academic literature. ‘Doing Feminisms in the Academy’ tackles this very problem and brings the reflections of feminist academics to the forefront.
New book with Professor Krishna Menon and Professor Rukmini Sen as co-editors is available on e-version. This book is a product of the UGC-UKEIRI collaborative research project between AUD and University of Edinburgh (2017-20)
