You might be wondering, what is a dispatchable load? Well, it can be many things, but simply put, it's something that consumes a lot of electricity and has inherent flexibility in when it uses that electricity. This could be vehicle chargers, heating or cooling systems, industrial machines, pumps and ventilation systems, or, like at Duozink in Stokke, a zinc bath.

The combination of rooftop solar, battery storage, and dispatchable loads is powerful (pun intended) and can make a project economically viable, even if it might otherwise be hard to get approval from the finance department :)

We develop the operational philosophy together with the customer, with safe and stable operations as the first priority so that we do not affect production, but rather utilize the flexibility that is already there.

@lysdahllars @JessePeltan Depends. We would at some point need to introduce a capacity market, i.e. participants get paid for holding available capacity with an additional kicker when the capacity is called on. Quite similar to what we deliver today to the frequency reserve market...
