ADAMAWA 2027: THE TIME TO BUILD A BETTER FUTURE IS NOW

Every time I travel across Adamawa State���from the busy streets of Jimeta to the peaceful communities of Ganye, from the fertile farmlands of Fufore and Numan to the hills of Mubi and Michika
,I meet hardworking people with the same hopes and aspirations.

The farmer wants to harvest more and sell at a fair price.

The trader wants a stable economy and better roads.

The civil servant wants to receive salaries on time.

The youth wants a decent job instead of endless waiting.

The mother wants quality healthcare close to home.

The father wants to educate his children without unbearable hardship.

These are not impossible dreams. They are legitimate expectations of every citizen.

Adamawa is one of the most blessed states in Nigeria. Allah has given us fertile land, rivers, livestock, minerals, vibrant markets, intelligent young people, and a rich cultural heritage. Yet, many of our young people still leave home in search of opportunities elsewhere. This should challenge every one of us.

As 2027 approaches, I believe we must begin to ask ourselves difficult but necessary questions.

What kind of Adamawa do we want to leave for our children?

Do we want politics that divides us, or leadership that unites us?

Do we want empty promises, or practical solutions?

These are the questions that should guide our decisions.

It is for this reason that I see Alhaji Tijjani Galadima as someone whose vision deserves serious attention. I believe Adamawa needs leadership that listens, plans, and works with the people—not just during campaigns, but every day in office.

Our farmers deserve modern farming support, irrigation, storage facilities, and access to markets.

Our traders deserve better roads, electricity, and an environment where businesses can grow.

Our students deserve schools that prepare them for the future.

Our women deserve greater economic opportunities and support for their businesses.

Our youths deserve skills, jobs, and access to finance so they can become creators of wealth rather than seekers of opportunities.

Communities affected by insecurity deserve lasting peace so our farmers can return to their farms, our children can attend school safely, and businesses can flourish once again.

However, no leader can build Adamawa alone.

Real development begins when the people choose unity over division, ideas over insults, and service over selfish interests.

Whether you are Fulani, Bwatiye, Bachama, Higgi, Kilba, Marghi, Hausa, Kanuri, Lunguda, Waja, or from any other ethnic group, Adamawa belongs to all of us. Whether you are Muslim or Christian, we all desire peace, justice, and a better future for our families.

Let us reject politics of bitterness.

Let us reject politics of hatred.

Let us reject politics that seeks to divide neighbours who have lived together peacefully for generations.

Instead, let us embrace politics built on competence, integrity, accountability, and genuine service to the people.

History will remember the choices we make today.

May Allah guide us to elect leaders who fear Him, serve the people sincerely, and place the interest of Adamawa above every personal ambition.

The future of Adamawa is in our hands. Let us choose wisely.

BREAKING: President Tinubu Directs EFCC to Vacate Court Order Freezing Osun State Government Accounts

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to immediately approach the court to vacate the order freezing the accounts of the Osun State Government and to discontinue related actions.

He stated that he felt “deeply embarrassed” not by the EFCC’s exercise of its mandate under a court order, but by the timing of the action. “Every action taken by an institution of State, especially at the Federal level, is always credited to me, as the President, even when I may not have had any prior knowledge of the action,” the statement read.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his longstanding position that anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies must operate independently, professionally, and without political interference. He noted that he has deliberately refrained from directing or interfering in the operational activities of the EFCC or any other investigative agency.

However, he said the timing was “inauspicious” because Osun State is only a few days away from its gubernatorial election. “Nothing ought to be done to give an impression that the EFCC or indeed any other agency of the federal government is being used to interfere with the election,” the President declared.
