The bail hearing involving Lekompo artist Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke has been postponed to 8 December 2025.

Shebeshxt appeared before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday. He is facing three charges, including attempted murder, possession of illegal firearm, and malicious damage of property, and newly added six counts that were added on Tuesday.

Defence lawyer Adv Lot Ramusi argued that Chauke should be granted bail, citing his heavily pregnant partner, his responsibility for a child in Krugersdorp, and monthly financial support of R25 000 to his parents and R13 000 to his in-laws.

Chauke also stated that he has lost seven gigs and risks losing 42 more festive-season bookings, many already paid for.
