Police Constable Roger Brereton was tragically shot dead in his police car whilst pursuing a gunman in Hungerford in 1987. He was posthumously awarded the Queen's Commendation for Brave Conduct.

On 15 August 2019, PC Andrew Harper attended reports of a burglary and later tragically died as a result of multiple fatal injuries caused when he was dragged along by a vehicle on the A4 Bath Road in Berkshire.

🎥: Adina Mihai, 31, and Madalin Dumitru, 30, both formerly of Ilford in Essex, targeted men between August 2024 and July 2025 who had been seeking sexual services.

They drugged their victims with GHB. For two men, this had fatal consequences.

Today, they were both jailed.

DC Ian Coward QPM was fatally wounded when he was shot nine times whilst attempting to arrest an armed suspect. He tragically died of the injuries a month later and was posthumously awarded the Queen's Police Medal for Gallantry.
