Is this a BAD look for Balde and his potential to stay at the club, Yes

But is this also a pretty fair assessment of his attitude over the past 2 seasons, also yes

For me Blade just doesn’t look like he even wants to develop his game and certainly hasn’t shown it

“7 years” when this was him in a shite banter club. We were a banter club before Flick, none of our players were good. In 2021, Messi and him were our best players. After 2021, our board started forcing him out so Xavi had to bench him in important games. Gavi and Pedri played most of the important games and we ended up in Europa. Xavi then had to start De Jong after they couldn’t get to sell him

In 2022 he became a starter and one if the best midfielders itw while playing alongside Busquets as a double pivot. In 2024, he had a great start winning man of the matches back to back until he got that tackle from Valverde. Barca then forced him to play and that costed him the Euros playing for the club

He came back after a long break in 2024-2025 season and instantly became a starter in 2025 benching Casado and was one of our best players that season playing alongside Pedri

In 2025-26 season he was our best midfielder playing as a DM and as an 8, had his best assist figures until he had to go out. Had masterclasses against New Castle that season asw. Barca fans forgot everything and chose to believe media and Catalan agendas

My take on Balde actually alines quite closely to Flicks opinion really.

I’m sure he doesn’t have doubts about Balde’s potential calling, HOWEVER, we just haven’t seen any development from him in the last 2 seasons

His main issues is that he’s just SO 1 dimensional in the final 3rd and he doesn’t look like he’s even attempted to change that.

For me this is his make or break season and if we don’t see any development then serious conversation will have be had

What a coach man 😂, he has doubts about BALDE but for him Gerard Martin is a world class centre-back. For him Guille and Toni Fernandez are discards but Brian Fariñas is a first team player.

The truth is I'm starting to have 'doubts' about Flick.
