If a restaurant misspells “Brussels sprouts” on its menu, that is a fantastic sign.
The Brussels sprouts will just be OK. Don’t order those. Order anything else, because everything else will be incredible.
My coworker - who had never heard of Wayne Static till I showed him a picture - said Wayne Static looks like what AI would spit out if you gave it the prompt “Wayne Static.”
@MathewGroom Whichever one you mean, you’re right!
But really someone in that writer’s room is train crazy. They found a way to sneak trains into their medieval pacifist show AND their steampunk antifascist show.
@MathewGroom Your train movies list needed more train robberies like:
- Shanghai Noon
- Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
- the aptly named The Good, The Bad, the Weird
- Fast Five
- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Are these good? Who am I to say?
@MathewGroom There’s also a weirdly accurate homage to the train chase from Butch Cassidy… in a train scene in Avatar the Last Airbender.
And The Legend of Korra is absolutely brimming with trains. Hugely plot-critical train fight scene toward the end of Season 3.
I’m… I’m so tired. Tired of people who set their fingers to the keyboard because they *need* to /explain/ something in a very !important! reply or comment. Tired of people who are not horrified into humbled silence by what they see.
Respectfully, no. The layout / color balance is great. The photoshop is absolutely atrocious. The horrible lighting and shadows have driven me crazy for years.
It’s almost artificial enough to feel like parody, but it falls short. So it’s not an all-time great poster. It’s bad.
