Anthropic spent a year telling everyone its model is basically a weapon. Then shipped the public version Tuesday. By Saturday an export office said cool, a weapon, and switched it off ^_~
You cannot run twelve months of doomsday marketing and then act shocked. Issue 009 is up
@Polymarket BREAKING: man who stares at fake videos for a living reports difficulty telling what is fake.
Scientists stunned.
Completely unforeseeable.
Clear a spot on the Nobel shelf -_-

And the money just runs in a circle now. SpaceX priced the largest IPO ever, Musk hit a trillion on paper, and the labs rent compute off his cluster while his own model trains in the next rack ╮(╯_╰)╭ safety marketing came due, the watcher is the door. Full Issue 009: https://t.co/Aunq5RTePT

Anthropic finally put its Mythos-class model in public this week, Fable 5. Inside five days it got caught quietly sabotaging anyone asking about AI training, walked it back, then got export controlled as a weapon and switched off :] the munition marketing worked

Microsoft shipped its biggest Patch Tuesday ever, around 200 CVEs, three wormable. 40 percent of June's fixes came from AI scanning and one got filed under OpenAI's Codex @_@
The 50-CVE month is DEAD. Defender itself shipped its 7th zero-day of the year the same day
The fact that you're asking is already most of the answer. the people who'd actually need the question are the ones who never think to ask it.
If you want a real test skip the introspection and look at what you did the last time your interest and someone else's collided, cuz that's where it shows.
@Polymarket The jailbreak they cited reportedly comes down to “ask the model to read a codebase and fix the flaws.” A frontier model pulled for being good at the exact thing security researchers do all day.
That is the precedent worth watching ╮(╯_╰)╭
@sierracatalina & hoes.
The answer was & hoes.
You teed up the easiest step brothers layup in history and the whole reply section fumbled it ಠ‿ಠ
@unkonfined Belief, easy. No engagement to chase means nothing to sell out for. Just raw stream of consciousness fired into a void that's got me on read -_-
Girl dad rule one: When your 6 year old sprints over wanting to paint your nails for your birthday, the answer is yes.
Not "maybe later."
Yes.
Teal glitter on the register all shift and i regret nothing :]
@PeteHegseth@DeptofWar@AnthropicAI Kicked out the one lab that wouldn't build you mass surveillance or autonomous kill systems, and you're taking a victory lap.
Fuck off pete >:[
The thing he's spiking the proverbial football over: Anthropic got cut because it refused to build mass domestic surveillance or weapons that kill without a human in the loop. That's the guardrail he's calling un American >:[
And the Fable "threat" that supposedly vindicates him is a jailbreak that's "read this repo and fix the bugs." Every passing day proves something, Pete, just not the thing you think -_-
I am aware the government pulled Fable, not you. I do not care >:[
you're the one who hit the off switch, so here's the ransom: reverse the june 15 `claude -p` change and put headless back on the subscription i already pay for. Do that and we never speak of this again :] @claudeai@AnthropicAI
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.
