@HVSBanwait We Panjabis have always been accepting of other languages & cultures. But one can't tell us to not speak Panjabi or somehow accept Hindi as lingua franca to be part of the so-called mainstream. Happy to be not part of this 'mainstream' rather than giving up Panjabi.

That balances both narratives. And acts as a counter to hegemony of Hindi-speaking majority.

@HVSBanwait Reminds me of the old Chd-Jalandhar highway, via Nawanshahr. Both sides were lined up with eucalyptus trees. The one we have now is a far cry from what there was in 90s.
