I love this idea and am stealing it for tip 18 of 50 ways to use #GoogleKeep as a small business owner. In fact why not make multiple positivity notes and set them to pop up at random dates/times? Great way to give future you a smile!

To add colours etc go to https://t.co/cO0Ek1yHgz and edit the note more fully incl adding a reminder for when you want to action the email.
You can then archive your email knowing you’ll be able to find it again quickly and easily via Google Keep.

Tip 17 of 50 ways to use Google Keep as a small business owner: Create to-dos from Gmail.
You probably get most of your daily tasking through email right? So why not create a Google Keep note that’s linked to that email but has all the power of colours / labels and reminders?

1. In Gmail click on the Keep icon in the sidebar. Then click on the email you want linked so that the email opens up fully.
2. Then click on “Take a note”. The email will be linked to the Keep note. Add your text and click on Done.

As a small business owner it is very easy to get caught up on the day to day activity and forget about your achievements.

- either type, or scribble or dictate a few sentences. Write down what you did and what terrible thing is going to happen now. Over time, you’ll realise that your predictions of doom just aren’t occurring, and you’re no longer thinking over and over about ‘that one time’.

This is really useful if you ever want to re-connect with someone, or are trying to work out where or how you met someone.

What I do instead is take a picture of the whiteboard and then label it accordingly. Then the magic of Google’s image recognition comes into play as I can search for keywords that are in those images and get the appropriate note.

Yes, yes I know digital whiteboards are meant to make this sort of thing so much easier, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who can't actually access a digital whiteboard.

The advantage of sharing a Google Keep note over sending one, is we both retain access to the note so both people can see real time changes (like when you share and edit a Google Doc)

These are step by step checklists of regular processes that I have to take or follow when making a decision or undertaking a certain activity at work.

I can either follow them myself, or use the Send feature to send them via email to someone else if I’m delegating the task. I also use the Collaborator tool to share a Google Keep list with someone if they have a Google account.

However, you can't access Templates through the Gmail mobile app, so my tip is to use Google Keep to store copies of the templates and then copy and paste that text as required.

Do you often get the same or similar question from new customers or clients? Chances are you often reply back with variations of the same email . . .

This is exactly why Gmail has the option to create Templates - you compose your reply once and save the email as a template. Later, you can reuse it for other emails replies with just a few clicks.
