Carmelle Collado is using her platform to deliver a message that goes beyond music as rainy weather continues to affect Filipinos.
“Kaya naman ‘yong mga binabaha d’yan, mag-ingat kayo. Vote wisely kasi!” Carmelle said, reminding those affected by flooding to prioritize their safety while also urging Filipinos to be more discerning at the ballot box.
The remark comes as the young singer steps into a bigger spotlight after earning the right to represent the Philippines at the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia. Carmelle bested nine other finalists with “Sobra-Sobra,” an upbeat track written by Nica del Rosario and Mat Olavides.
Her latest achievement adds to a growing list of milestones. Carmelle was crowned grand champion of “Tawag ng Tanghalan: The School Showdown” in 2025 and previously finished as first runner-up in “The Voice Kids Philippines” in 2019.
She also gained public attention as a housemate on “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0,” while building her music career with releases including “Morena.”
Now representing the country on an international stage, Carmelle is making it clear that her voice is not limited to the microphone.
