So based on the available information so far, Dipke went to Boston University on an F-1 visa but didn't complete his degree. Since he didn't graduate, he had no job offers, and with his visa set to expire, he was facing deportation.

As luck would have it, the CJI used the 'cockroach' remark, Dipke, who had plenty of free time from watching Swades on repeat, capitalized on the opportunity. He created a satirical page that blew up. He then cleverly timed his departure to spin his visa-related return as a grand homecoming, akin to Gandhi returning from South Africa.

CJP refers to @abhijeet_dipke as being “enrolled” at BU. Yet yesterday in an interview with @amanpour on @CNN, he didn’t say “graduate” he said “completed his studies”. Yet he’s not listed in the alumni portal. So the question is
1 he failed?
2 he dropped out?
3 was kicked out?
