No I'm not. If I'm tempted to eat a piece of candy and risk diabetes, I can just not do that. If my wife makes me mad and I feel like I should slap her, I can just not do that. I'm only a slave if I believe I'm not good enough to be free from petty emotions and bodily drives. Just do the opposite. That simple. We make things complicated. Imagine someone telling a cop or a judge he is unable to stop at a stop sign.
I'm not here to say my tradition is THE truth, but I can express logically that my tradition IS True thru the mount Sinai revelation of Gd in which every Jew heard Gd speak the 10 commandments. Then, Moses, in Deuteronomy, reminds the nation that this event never happened in the past and will not happen like this ever. Its documented that my tradition is the only faith on earth with a mass revelation event. All others must accept the truthiness from 1 or several charismatic founders.
Isaiah assumes the reader has read and understood the first 52 chapters. Yes, I know what 53 is about. But to know the context of the suffering servant, you need to know the chapters that lead to it plus understanding of Hebrew grammar, then, you need to know who is speaking in the first 8 verses of 53. The answer to who is speaking starts at the end of 52. The division of chapters is arbitrary, so it's important to get the entire context to avoid reading into a preconceived idea.
Again, please show me a verse specifically that is explicit about Gd being more than one. B'tzelem (in the image of) isn't a physical image. Gd doesn't have an image. Gd isn't made from anything. Being made in His image gives us:
-Intellect and reason
-Free will and moral choice
-Creativity and the power to build or destroy worlds with our actions
-Capacity for compassion, justice, and loving-kindness (chesed)
Eloqim is a majestic plural. The grammar uses this plural word in the singular. And even if someone were to grant it means Gd is more than 1, how do we know it's 3 without using Christian tradition? The logic would beg the question of why it isn't more than 3 or less than 3?
@AlliYaff@gazoogazoo77@StopAntisemites I'm not sure what part of "never again" do people not understand? We tried staying quiet last time. Ain't gonna happen again.
@AngelicaKamen Backing Israeli sovereignty of Judea and Samaria is like backing the fact that fire is hot. No need to back what is already true. Fire is hot is true. Judea and Samaria belonging to Israel is true. Its not even up for discussion.
If youโre not DELUSIONAL, you wonโt be SUCCESSFUL. ๐ฅ
Aim for Billions โ youโll land on Millions
Aim for Millions โ youโll land on a few hundred thousand (still smoking the โrealisticโ people)
You get half of your ambition, so make it half of something MASSIVE.
#Success#Money
He's teaching emunah and bitachon by saying to go big. Being "realistic" limits you. Gd wants to give but if people limit themselves, then that's what they get. There is plenty of Torah here. You get what "look" for. Look for the good in others. "Joshua ben Perachia and Nittai the Arbelite received [the tradition] from them. He [Joshua] used to say: Make for yourself a teacher, acquire for yourself a friend, and judge every person to the side of merit." Pirkei Avos.
