“2024? Thirteen….. years?” He asks, before looking down. “Am I out? Is this…. ?”

“At the lake shore.” He said. “I don’t know what year it is.”

“I woke up here.” He said, before moving to the edge of the light, holding out a cup of coffee to Scratch.

He turned and began to pour himself a coffee. He was gaining some strength back. “Why are you out here?”

“….thanks.” He said, “I thought you were just making a mess.”

@IJustScratchOut Alan sighed and looked over to patch himself up. He groaned in pain as he applied the bandages and adhesive.

He looked over to Scratch. “….what are you doing?”

@IJustScratchOut “Nah. Wouldn’t want to give you the satisfaction.” He said, stumbling along at Scratch’s side. He was within reach of the shed. He gently pried himself from Scratch, staggering into the light.

Feeling it, it was like a warm shower. He panted loudly, on the floor.

@IJustScratchOut Alan winced as he was lifted up. He cried softly, tears rolling down his face, as he began to see a light in the distance.

Alan gasped softly as he whispered. “You were right.”

@IJustScratchOut Alan let out a soft laugh at that. He gasped and grunted, as he tripped up on a tree rot, hitting the floor.

He let out a soft cry, feeling the warmth spill out of him. “Fuck…”
