IKE’s Command Motorcycle Ride 🏍️

In observance of Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, on May 29th, #MightyIKE hosted a command group ride that allowed experienced and new riders to drive together, improve rider education, and promote safe habits!

All eyes on IKE during CART II! 🔥👨‍🚒

#MightyIKE is undergoing the Command Assessment of Readiness and Training (CART) Phase II evolution.

CART II consists of evaluators from Afloat Training Group Atlantic assessing IKE’s training programs, and casualty control capabilities.

Every day throughout our Planned Incremental Availability (PIA) maintenance period, our Sailors never forgot the mission; to get back to sea and protect our nation.

After months of working in an industrial environment during #MightyIKE’s maintenance period, our Sailors are excited to make the switch back from hard hats to the navy ball cap! This marks a huge milestone in rejoining at-sea operations. 🌊⚓️

Got Gas? ⛽️

#MightyIKE is ramping up! Earlier this month, Air department’s V-4 division on loaded almost ONE MILLION gallons of JP-5 fuel 💪🏼

Having enough jet fuel onboard is a vital step in getting back operational so IKE can launch and recover aircraft.
