True finality, fair ordering leading to benefits like no MEV, aBFT, finality allowing state proofs, sharding and unlimited scaling, high throughput per shard.

It’s a fantastic set of technical capabilities, and I absolutely do believe they will be important.

Not gonna lie saying this kind of stuff doesn’t matter, and the list of things you said will (while I agree with a few of those as well) has me questioning things a bit, and not if technical capabilities of an L1 are important.

@itsbrandond There’s absolutely the need for highly performant L1’s. This reads like Hedera’s strengths don’t matter. Be like Canton.

I would like to say that @itsbrandond is one of the best of us, and has put tremendous time and effort into the Hedera ecosystem.

I believe some of his current efforts are misguided but also I have no doubt they are being done with the best of intentions.

We all have the right to publicly disagree and voice our opinions, but even in open debate, please treat everyone with respect.

I will say I love to see the passion across the board. 🦾

I agree not to focus on individuals, but problems. A problem can be an individuals actions. Just as you engaged and highly criticized Dara for stating the Hashgraph venture fund might invest in an entity that isn’t actively building on Hedera. It’s not personal, just as you said in your opinion it is irresponsible of me to promote Hedera without a sustainability plan public. That’s a very fair criticism. It’s not a personal attacks it’s a critique of my actions.

Don’t take my comments as a personal attack, I promise it’s not. I’m just saying it might be better to promote Canton after your Hedera correction campaign.

I like honing your Hedera critique down to the sustainability plan. There may be other things that in your opinion that fall short but hitting too many for too long will cause listening ears to go deaf.

You can be critical to try to initiate change, MAYBE you can even be very critical for weeks on end to try to initiate change of a network.

You can like and promote multiple networks.

You probably shouldn’t promote a new network you like, AND be very critical for extended periods of time of the ecosystem you have been involved with, at least if you want to remain credible in your quest to drive change.

@Lower_Fox @itsbrandond @hedera @CantonNetwork @earthlingsland @hashpack I’m 100% positive that those fees would not get generated without the apps that are generating them getting larger amount of CC in rewards. This is a system designed for abuse. Luckily in the short to medium term that abuse allows Canton to tout impressive revenue figures.
