The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has opened its media credential request portal for 2026 SIAC Football Media Day.
Media members interested in covering the event must submit a credential request through the portal by Tuesday, July 7, at 1 p.m. ET to be considered.

Time: 10 a.m. ET

Entry: Private event - credentialed access only
Media credentials will be distributed on an individual basis. A separate media credential request must be submitted for each credential holder. Requesters are not permitted to add additional media members to their request. Only individuals with approved SIAC credentials will have access to the event.
Please note that media members will be required to show a state-issued ID to pick up credentials. Credentials will only be released to the approved requester.

For the fourth year, the NCAA office of inclusion partnered with each of the historically Black college and university conference offices to select eight student-athletes to attend the Black Student-Athlete Summit. This year's summit was May 20-23 in Eugene, Oregon.
"We are thrilled to partner with the NCAA in providing opportunities for our students to attend the Black Student-Athlete Summit," said Anthony Holloman, Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference commissioner. This week, three SIAC athletics communicators attended the 2026 NCAA Division II Professional Development Workshop for Athletics Communicators, held June 2-4 in Indianapolis.
The workshop covered a wide range of topics directly impacting sports communicators in Division II. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the NCAA through sessions led by several departments while also engaging in professional and personal development opportunities.

The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will kick off its 2026 season with a return to Macon, Georgia, for SIAC Football Media Day on Wednesday, July 22.
Coaches and student-athletes from the league’s 13 football programs will open the two-day event with the SIAC Community Service and Outreach Day on Tuesday, July 21. SIAC Football Media Day will follow on Wednesday, July 22, and will be open only to institutions and approved members of the media.
