EXCLUSIVE: Reform UK’s Makerfield by-election candidate, Rob Kenyon, had a SECOND deleted social media account, and the archived posts are damning.

@danny_robins Appreciate the reply Danny. It was Bread and Butter who are, I know, very over worked. But we had the same run around last year or so.
I (@theQR_editor) remain flexible and very interested! ☺️
@danny_robins Hi Danny, a few weeks ago your PR’s offered an interview with you, and confirmed it would be set up subsequently. It’s been tumbleweeds since…any chance we could pick this ball up?
Strong agree. The BBC shouldn’t just be anointing our entry - A Song for Europe revived would re-engage the nation properly and create much more “in it together” energy. No shade to Sam Battle who did us proud this year intended.
Nice to see the Herald catching up to where the @EdinInquirer was 10 months ago...it's almost as if unless the Festivals/Edinburgh Uni supply all the material, they didn't actually care...

Hello all - I'd be tremendously grateful if you could help spread the word about a small Scottish tour I’m doing. I’m taking my ‘Bad Mood Rising’ show to small-ish Scottish towns that often get bypassed on tour schedules. Any shares would be hugely appreciated. Thank you all! 💚
Funnily enough the much-missed Fringepig had a very similar story to tell back in 2018.
There really are shouty voices in the New Town that won't be happy until the Fringe is safely banished to the otherside of North Bridge.
Uttery insanity.

Learning from the @EdinInquirer this morning that #LaClique has been forced to axe their #EdFringe26 run because the clowns in the Council are forcing planning criteria meant for permanent structures.
This is insane - and harms the jazz & blues festival too.
When John Proctor Is the Villain opened at the Royal Court, we called it "inquisitive, even combative." With today's news of its #WestEnd transfer, revisit Franco Milazzo’s take on this vital, if depressing, look at the Me Too era. 2027 tickets on sale: 2 PM.

It seems the usual band of well-meaning (mostly) zealots are out to damage the Edinburgh International Festival, just as they did the Book Festival, by holding it to impossible, ridiculous, and hypocritical standards.
They must be ignored.

"...a great production of a preposterous but super tuneful musical, and yet another example of unpaid professionals offering Edinburgh audiences some seriously high-quality nights in the stalls."

Curating theatre for children is a delicate tightrope. The Edinburgh International Children’s Festival has launched a 2026 programme that refuses to patronise. Expect "proper, uncompromising storytelling."

Our rewiew of Joz Norris - You Wait. Time Passes.
May be the living definition of a cult-hit. "One cannot say that Joz Norris has created something safe or middle-of-the-road, so bravo."
