NETFUND and ILO Partner to Advance Green Jobs and Sustainable Environmental Solutions
The National Environment Trust Fund (NETFUND) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Labour Organization (ILO) at NETFUND offices, marking a significant step towards strengthening collaboration in promoting sustainable environmental management, green jobs, and Kenya’s transition to a green economy.
The partnership will leverage the mandates of both institutions to support innovative environmental interventions, enhance capacity building, promote research, and mobilize resources towards programmes that advance climate action and sustainable development.
Through the MoU, NETFUND and ILO will collaborate in developing and implementing initiatives that support green enterprises, skills development, entrepreneurship, and decent work opportunities, with a focus on youth and women.
The collaboration will also support the development of a Just Transition Strategy, knowledge sharing, research on climate change and employment, and technical assistance to micro, small and medium enterprises advancing solutions to environmental and climate challenges.
This partnership reinforces NETFUND’s commitment to fostering inclusive, resilient, and sustainable solutions for environmental conservation and economic growth.

Kenya can also celebrate being an exemplary refugee-hosting country. Thank you for creating an environment where refugees are included and can prosper alongside their hosts.
Refugees registered in humanitarian databases that don’t interface with the national SP registry. This fragmentation of data systems makes it difficult to cross-reference information, and ensure that refugees aren’t excluded from SP programs. @The_agumba@UNHCR_Kenya
