@jrpow_ @deltchevpiked This is exactly the reason actually. Tucks on floor don't need to spot as early so you can set higher but on beam you need earlier spot time. That's one of the reasons why loso works so well on beam because it works like a whip and allows for earlier spotting of the beam
@quietrevenge@RenInOz@ILoveFantasyGym Also, the YDP hasn't been done before, making it Uncharted territory. So they know better than anyone else if she's prepared to do it and what prepared for this skill should look like
@quietrevenge@RenInOz@ILoveFantasyGym I understand the sentiment, but unfortunately that's not how gymnastics works. No one is 100% confident with every skill before competing. Competing skills is actually a huge part of becoming confident with skills
Sunisa Lee's TF and AA FX side by side, with audio synced (to the TF). For the AA, she recomposes the routine after the double-L, almost exactly halfway through, leaving out the double tuck. She loses 0.1 in D, gains 0.133 in E, finishes on time โ and is kinder to her ankles.
@flaviasrings@komovasgold Yeah hate to break it to you but you are twisting to the left both times. Front twisting is confusing af but you can tell which way your twisting by which way you face in the air first and where your shoulders are pulling to on the landing. But also, holy f#$% this is cool
