Yemen says they would rather die on their feet than live on their knees.
I can respect that.
That also makes them dangerous, because they don't give a flying fuck.
Hasan Piker: “I’m a socialist, I’m an anti-imperialist, I want what’s best for Americans, and what’s best for everyone all around the world. We live in the wealthiest nation on the planet and I find it unconscionable that there are 600K people who go to sleep outside every single night. I find it unconscionable that we do not have a public healthcare system. We certainly have enough money to pay for it. I find it morally repugnant that we use so much of our productive output on waging wars overseas, destabilizing the entire world, instead of using that wealth on ourselves”
The White House’s approach to Ukraine is a remarkable reversal of the role America claimed for itself.
Defending democracy and national self-determination has been the cornerstone of America’s claim to global leadership (however selectively applied). Now Ukraine’s leader is called ungrateful for insisting his country is not for sale.
Ukraine’s democratic shortcomings and Zelensky’s leadership deserve scrutiny, as all leadership does. But there is a striking imbalance when an imperfect democracy faces harsher judgment than the authoritarian state.
People can’t afford housing because capitalism turned homes into Airbnbs and private equity investments.
People can’t afford to see a doctor because capitalism turned healthcare into a for-profit insurance commodity.
Capitalism has turned everything we need to survive into a money making machine for the rich.
.@JamesTalarico: The richest man in the world is dumping hundreds of millions of dollars into this state to try to defame me, so I'm doing everything I can to stand up against those lies. I am tired of us being divided into teams because the truth is we're all on the same team.
We are far more the same than we are different, but those big money interests, those social media platforms, and those cable news networks want to divide us.
Imagine what we could do if we did it together as one team—we are unstoppable.
⛽️🇷🇺 Guys, we need to talk about #Trump’s new idea that Russia will “help” the United States with diesel — and his very warm thanks to #Putin.
I could call this wrong, cynical, even a betrayal. But first of all, it is simply stupid policy.
Two enormous problems:
1️⃣ Even the total Russian diesel volumes being discussed amount to only a tiny fraction of U.S. consumption — nowhere near enough to significantly change American diesel prices.
2️⃣ For weeks, Trump has pressured Ukraine over strikes on Russian oil refineries, arguing that they contribute to fuel shortages and higher prices. But if Russia itself is supposedly suffering from a diesel shortage, how exactly is Putin now being presented as America’s diesel savior?
And then I saw a brutally dark meme on X:
An American at the gas station:
“Why is this diesel slightly red?”
“Never mind. There’s just a little Ukrainian blood in it.”
This decision feels deeply wrong not only from Ukraine, and not only from Europe. It should concern Americans too.

i can't stand the double standard, democrats and generally progressive people are expected to be perfect all the time, meanwhile republicans can say whatever the fuck they want and their cattle fanbase will eat that slop and defend them endlessly
