@NzFubar It doesn't matter. New citizens are choosing to become part of this nation. If you were naturally born here, you don't have a choice. That distinction matters
@strda221@PronouncedHare You are all over the place. We all defer to the current head of state until they are not so, correct? Or are you anti-democratic? [And in case you still aren't following, has nothing to do with personal views about what you want changed]
@strda221@PronouncedHare Yes. And? Thats part of what being a citizen of a country is - there are core things we're all in it together with, whether we happen to like them all or not. And if youre going to come in from outside, you better get on board with the essentials - like who the head of state is!
@MrBobDobalinaNZ@Wired__One@dpfdpf Focussing only on economics doesnt seem very "right wing" to me. Tbh, thats why National have been floundering for so long. They have moved from conservative roots. Ironically, classical liberalism - which sounds like you are arguing for? - is what makes them so much like Labour
@Wired__One@dpfdpf Is your point that "taxpayers should not be funding parents choices" that the/a govt shouldn't have a position on NZers having babies?
@berenddeboer@PronouncedHare Who cares when a particular term was first used, if what you interested in is the underlying reality? Just like the word "trinity" doesn't appear in the bible, but the concept of course is there throughout.
