@Prosto_Koshkin @reveusedeminuit Trust me, many will return. Some won’t but even after Valko is released and PVs spread about him later, people may be inspired to come back to the game again. PPG sucks at decisions but they have cracked the code on Otome games for women!

Whether this teaser is for a new multi or for Nightglow, my stance remains the same.

Nothing has changed between 6/30 and now. Valko is still cancelled. PPG is still a live-service game that will try to move on. Bc I don’t like their decisions, I’ll keep boycotting & advocating for Valko until I get what I want.

I still think they’ll bring Valko back. I don’t think a new multi w/o him is a make or break (tho I understand why it feels that way). Nothing is forever in the business world when there’s money to be made.

I think all of the circumstantial evidence we’ve been collecting until now still holds true. I think the only thing a majority of ppl (myself included) miscalculated was the timing.

Industry ppl have been saying this is a situation that will take at best 4-6 months to reverse. We’re halfway through the 3rd month now, so realistically it would’ve been optimistic to bring him back before now.

I do believe they need a definitive record that all in-game content w/o Valko is a proven failure to bring him back, which includes a new multi. A failed Q3 is a quantitative, irrefutable stain on their financial record that will lead to change.

Tho it may seem like catering to CDG’s until he’s back, PPG kind of have to in order to expose their lack of financial power. If they give the Valko antis everything they want (new MS update for Caleb & Sylus, new Raf myth, highly anticipated Sylus reruns, new spicy multi) & it all fails to stabilize revenue near what it was, then they can say ‘we tried catering to you for months & lost players, money, & reputation, so we’ll no longer be listening to you from now on’.

PPG sees the writing on the wall. Caleb’s MS update made that clear. They didn’t retcon or rework Valko, they skipped his story & said we’ll come back to it later. They wrote the story abt the crew that prioritized survival & stability of 5 & sacrificed the 6th, which ultimately lead to the death of the 5. That wasn’t coincidence. That was intentional.

PPG knows that without Valko, the game will die. However, because of the tactics used against them in the business war, they can’t just come out & say that. Everything they’ve done/are doing I believe are a part of the process of bringing him back. The new legal acct also proves this to me.

Considering the set up in Caleb’s story implies MC will go to the N109 Zone next, I’m assuming their plan is to release Valko after Sylus’ MS update. Either it’ll be before the Nov multi or the Anni multi.

More players will quit the longer they wait & appear to cater to CDG’s. PPG knows this. I think it’s a risk they’ve calculated & accepted: they’ll sacrifice the full amt of players that would’ve come back sooner for Valko in order to do a full rectification + proper roll out.

They can’t give anyone an inch of leverage to use against them if they want to prevent future controversy. That means doing things properly (ie. slowly), at the expense of short term revenue & long term players.

PPG said in the cancellation letter they felt they didn’t give ppl waiting for Valko the debut we deserved. Dropping Valko rn would mean a short debut + multi to fit before Xav’s bday, which is not doing things properly imo.

For now, we’re in a wait & see period. If you’re crashing out over a possible multi, that’s totally valid. Rage against PPG as much as you want (they certainly deserve it). I don’t blame anyone for quitting the game/boycott bc of it. PPG suck ass. They have phenomenal creative teams they don’t deserve.

But it’s bc of their work that I’ll still be here. Caleb’s MS was amazing. I’m that much more invested in reading Valko’s story now.

I may pop in & out more to take breaks away from the fandom for my own mental health, but my stance won’t change. PPG made a choice. I disagree with that choice. So I’ll keep boycotting & fighting for Valko until he’s in the cafe as a LI, regardless of what they throw at me.
