We can just build a better world together as friends. Under God. Freedom for all. 3D printed houses. Robotic helpers. Hemp concrete. Clean water. Free internet.
I see three possible outcomes: Wall-e, Hunger Games, or the Jetsons (but we still live on the ground). I think we can easily thrive in an AI/robot world if we mandate work for all able bodied people. And not just any work, but work that involves critical thinking, physical movement, achievable goals, and satisfying rewards. This type of work comes from city building and city running. That’s what we have done for all of time. We build things. Let’s rebuild our cities on purpose and build new cities. Our AI robots can help us. And once we are done, let’s keep building. There is plenty of space and we can inhabit the stars. With clean energy, greenhouses, and robots we can live anywhere. We can just build so many houses, parks, and event halls that we can just live in a new place every couple of months. We can start trying to accumulate experiences instead of currency,
We don't need huge gas turbines to power data centers. We can power most of our energy infrastructure with LENR, which makes no noise and emits no carbon or heat. And LENR doesn't even need high-voltage transmission lines crisscrossing the country. Video clip of decent Decentralize TV episode.
A biotech company plans to bring extinct animals back to life
Colossal Biosciences in Texas says it has hatched 26 live chicks from artificial 3D printed eggs
The company wants to scale up the project to genetically engineer living birds to resemble New Zealand's extinct South Island giant moa
They transferred contents from real fertilized chicken eggs into artificial shells
26 healthy chicks have hatched so far with more on the way. The chicks are living on a Texas farm and appear normal.
No natural shell or surrogate hen needed
The South Island giant moa they want to bring back was a flightless bird up to 12 feet tall, weighing up to 500+ lbs. It went extinct 500–600 years ago. Its eggs were enormous, 80x a chicken egg so these artificial eggs would be needed
I feel like we have a lot of real world problems that need solving over bringing extinct birds back to life right now…
Compassionate capitalism. A system that rewards hard work and innovation but also rewards giving up fortune for the betterment of all man kind. A society that releases advanced technology to improve the quality of life and protects the planet instead of suppressing technologies to protect their bottom lines.
This device claims to pull energy straight out of the construct of the cosmos. Of course, it's only measured in milliwatts, for starters. So it won't be powering anything substantial without a lot of scaling. But the concept is intriguing.
@dave_filoni thank you. Maul: Shadow Lord was amazing. Enjoyed every bit of it. Art style, voice acting, writing, characters. So good. @Disney did something right for once.
BREAKING: Golden Tempo wins the Kentucky Derby after coming from dead last
His rider, Jose Ortiz, is a devout Christian and shared this Bible verse before the race
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”
Nothing is impossible with God. ✝️
Can confirm, 100% true. I was an almost famous rock guitarist. I wouldn’t trade 30 seconds of the most stressful day of being a dad for all the fame, fortune, and women in the world. There is nothing better than being a dad.
Girl-dad here, my daughters are in their early 20s now.
To all the guys out there who society told being a responsible father was a fate worse than death, and who are now getting a glimpse through Pragmata of what fatherhood might be like:
You were lied to hard, sorry bro, being a father is the most amazing thing on earth. But it's not too late, go find a good woman, marry her, raise a family, provide, be responsible, go all in. Be the protector you were made to be.
You've got this, king.
@danielcberk@Spotify You will learn to love the music and keep it on your playlists. I still rock Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez songs. Switch your kids to KPOP demon hunters and just enjoy the amazing songs. My kids are adults now, but I still rock their songs.
What if the result of AI and robots taking over all jobs is people start to actually crave human connection again. Like waiting tables and customer service becomes a coveted job just so people can have human contact because they are sick of interacting with AI all the time?
