I generally avoid politics on social media, but here is my assessment of yesterday’s catastrophic defeat for Republicans.
Three major factors contributed to the collapse of support for Trump and the Republican Party:
1. The high cost of living (fuel, groceries, interest rates, etc.)
2. The Iran war
3. The MAGA civil war
I would argue that, if you subtract any one of these factors from the list, Republicans would likely have lost the House but retained the Senate.
Some will insist that the MAGA civil war was not that influential. I beg to differ.
The public defection of prominent conservative voices fueled widespread disillusionment and division on the right. The resulting fracture within the MAGA coalition should not be underestimated. Many young conservatives were convinced that Trump is a pedophile and controlled by Israel, so they sat this one out (or voted for Democrats).
A house divided against itself cannot stand.
The Democrats smelled blood in the water and came out in force.
A boomer woman looked me dead in the eyes and said “jews are God’s chosen people.”
I responded “no we Christians are, they reject Jesus, which makes judaism an antichrist religion”
she responded “I think Muslims are the antichrist religion”
I said “Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet and jews believe Jesus was a criminal”
She got mad and walked away, there’s no talking to these people.
@gotti_rob67280 It's totally understandable and cute that everyone wants it to be a missile, but that bitch just crashed the plane.
It came in at an angle, missed the power lines, the lashing wire is broken on the communication line from the debris.
