Extremely low incomes, a threadbare social security system, the increasing cost of essentials and high levels of debt has led to a rapid rise in destitution. 📈
Over 1/2 of destitute households have a weekly income of less than £85 a week. 💷
Destitution is when people cannot afford to meet their most basic physical needs to stay warm, dry, clean and fed.
