@GolfDigest@JonRahmpga Wasn’t it Bobby Jones that said no one wins the US Open, other people lose it? Perhaps so but the ability to perform over the last two holes when in contention was amazing.
Just seen the result of the British Amateur Golf. Fantastic comeback from Laird Sheperd and no doubt @mjscowsill will be devastated. Hope he soon realises that only exceptional golfers get as far as he did.
Shouldn’t have to teach an old dog like me the first rule of golf; you ain’t won it until you’ve won it, as I almost proved by nearly not winning it. Run through the tape, don’t stagger.
Thank you to all the staff and volunteers @StockportGC for a great event in part one of the Cheshire Cat. Couldn’t do the exceptional greens justice but it was a pleasure to play.
My battered old headcover brings back great memories of playing with @vinerbrian where the proper golfers are this week. Wonder if any of them hit a practice putt into the lake.... yes, really.
Tired shoes after 36 holes in the Cheshire Champs @delameregolf Thanks to @CheshireGolf for putting on a superb event and to all the staff and volunteers. Great course and a great score to win it too.
A big thank you to all @GrangeParkGolf for putting the Rose Bowl on yesterday. It would have been all too easy to cancel due to the pandemic but the Club pulled out all the stops. The staff and volunteers were superb as was the course.
@iaincartergolf The average male golfer will learn more from elite female golfers; their tempo, timing and approach is more relevant than watching elite men. The women are so, so much better than the 4 handicap someone suggested. More like +4.
