“Huge cost has been paid by Nepal in view of China’s hurry on developing infrastructure for defence in Himalayan Region unmindful of the fact that permafrost cannot be stable foundations for it’s road projects, railway projects, highways, tunnels , mining and airports.

One cannot keep permafrost frozen artificially. With climate change permafrost (underground frozen soil which holds the glaciers) is bound to melt and foundations are bound to collapse.

Mother Nature should be left alone to heal on its own.

When bureaucrats cannot plan cities how do you expect them to plan in complex structures like Himalaya?

There is a need to form a group of all nation around and surrounding Himalayas so as to take holistic view and stop muddling with Himalaya if nations are really worried”.
