Morning.
Imagine Jesus carrying a 300+ lb cross up to calvary, beaten, intestines exposed, beard ripped from its follicles, and the only thing He had on His mind was you.
No one will ever love you, the way He does.
A person who is truly born again goes through a process of transformation and growth. It does not happen overnight. You don’t get saved today and immediately open a church or begin performing deliverance the next week. Spiritual growth takes time.
Even Paul went through a period of preparation after his encounter with God. This process is important because it is where you begin to know God personally. During this time, the Holy Spirit works in your life, removing false beliefs, wrong ideas, and unhealthy patterns, and replacing them with truth.
And trust me, the process is not always comfortable.
You will face trials, hardships, and situations that might make you scream, “God… are you still there?”
Sometimes you will pray and it may feel like God has put your prayers on airplane mode. But those seasons are part of the training. They shape your character and prepare you for what is ahead.
So no, you don’t get born again today and by next week you are already casting out demons, starting a church, and printing posters with your face on them.
Relax.
Wait.
Learn.
Grow.
Because with God, before the ministry comes the maturity.
@BoCamaro@stevebward Jesus paid for al the filth on the cross brother. We are all sinners yet Christ died for us. You are in the house of the Lord. You can be made new no matter what you have done. Jesus paid it all. You belong.
Hey @espn, if you could update your app so that college baseball teams can be added to your favorites and allow for tracking, instead of having to scroll through the entire days list of games to find your team, that would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
All baseball fans.
