First the government snatched millions of tonnes of maize meant to feed our animals and poured it straight into ethanol distilleries for E20 petrol.

For context back in 2017 and 18 maize used for Ethanol blending was zero percent. Today it is a shocking 45.68 percent.

Obviously there was a crisis, the government self inflicted it & made the shortage happen. Then to cover it up during the Indo-US trade deal our government agreed 𝙩𝙤 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙂𝙈 𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙣 𝙗𝙮𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙨 𝘿𝘿𝙂𝙎 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙘𝙠. People are so funny man. In today's flight to Kolkata, a girl was sitting in the middle seat. I was in aisle and when I came all her stuff was on my seat. I asked politely can she remove her stuff. She did so looking like I've given her greatest inconvenience. Then another man came for the window seat. She asked if he would switch with her. He refused and went inside. Then she asked me if I would switch with her. I also refused because even the ask was with a tone of entitlement. Then she called cabin crew and complained to her that I don't want to sit in middle seat between two men and they should arrange a seat for her. At this point the window seat guy just asked her to exchange. Arre bhai, agar itna hai toh le liye karo dusri seat. What is this behaviour of the world owes you everything. So effin annoying. Right now playing vidoes on full volume that too. Kya log hai yaar.

The Govt is trying to fool us on the issue of the Ethanol blending policy. Firstly the Ethanol blending policy started in the 1970's in Brazil. They built a 360° infrastructure. In the US : E20 petrol is not mandated & you have other choices. Also unblended petrol is approx ₹165/ litre in INDIA versus average ₹109/ litre in the US.
